NIKKA TAKETSURU 17 YEAR OLD

This award-winning 17-year-old blended malt is part of Nikka’s Taketsuru range and named in honour of Nikka founder and father of Japanese whisky, Masataka Taketsuru. He is widely credited for bringing the craft of real single malt whisky to Japan in the 1920’s. Nose: Fresh and fruity with fruit salad, berries, sultanas and some other dried fruit, vanilla, fragrant wood and honey. Palate: Spicy and rounded with vanilla, blood orange and a little chocolate. Finish: Medium-length, slightly bittersweet, oak, fruit and cocoa.
