Ch Grand Puy Lacoste Vertical
Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste invites you to savour the essence of Pauillac, one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious appellations. Situated on the iconic gravel slopes, this estate is known as a “Flying Fifth” for consistently surpassing its Fifth Growth classification with extraordinary wines that rival the First Growths.
Timeless Heritage, Exceptional Wines
Established in the 16th century, Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste has long been a standard-bearer for quality and tradition. Its rich terroir, located on a prime hillock (“puy”), has helped in producing wines that embody the elegance and power of Pauillac. Since the Borie family took the reins in 1978, the estate has refined its methods to create wines with unparalleled structure, balance, and finesse.
The estate’s terroir, with its deep gravel soils, imparts a distinctive character to the grapes, resulting in wines that are both complex and harmonious. These Grand Vins, meticulously crafted blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, showcase the pinnacle of Pauillac’s winemaking. Featuring a curated selection of vintages, each captured the essence of each year’s unique growing season and the artistry of winemaker. The 2020 vintage, in particular, was awarded a coveted 97-point rating by renowned critic James Suckling, a testament to the estate’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
