Now, new-wave is not just another trend word used to create hype, but “a state of mind” according to Tim Atkin, where terroir is being allowed to speak. Terroir al Limit is Priorat’s answer to Burgundy’s single vineyard wines, inspired by the Burgundy model of classification with Grand Crus (Les Manyes and Les Tosses), Premier Crus (Arbossar) and regional village wines.
A Burgundian Approach
Currently managed by Dominik Huber, Terroir al Limit made waves amongst critics and wine enthusiasts alike. Perhaps the secret lies in the wines’ unique vinification method, a process of infusion rather than heavy extraction, as was characteristic of Priorat’s yesteryears.
