Since the Lorenzetti family acquired the estate in 2009, respect for the land and for the environment have been at the heart of their approach to viticulture. The vineyards have been restructured and important new plots acquired, and the land is now worked using environmentally friendly methods that will soon achieve the official stamp of organic certification.

This comprehensive evolution is also visible in the unique architecture of the 100% gravity-fed winery – a stunning technological accomplishment carefully designed to allow the fullest possible expression of the Pauillac terroir.

A great Pauillac is not necessarily austere in its early youth. This is demonstrably true at Pedesclaux, where the style, both charming and multi-layered, is instantly seductive. Chateau Pedesclaux also boasts a formidable cellaring potential – another key feature of a great Pauillac!

Across the years, a narrative arc has become visible: Sometimes denser and more tropical, at other times more ethereal, always maintaining the balance between powerful aromas and the silky delicacy of the tannins.
